The year 2018 was such a great year with tremendous achievements. In addition to participating in two exhibitions at the WTM in London and ITB Berlin, and having a general improvement in business, Wild Discoveries Safaris was also recognised by the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (CSWCT) for the continued partnership and incomparable support to the Sanctuary over the past years! This award signifies our continued efforts in ecotourism, and promoting responsible tourism practices that benefits both conservation and communities.
Undertaking your tours through Wild Discoveries Safaris helps you contribute positively to biodiversity conservation, and improve livelihoods of local communities while on holiday to achieve sustainable tourism development. Every single visit to the Sanctuary by our clients contributes in various ways to the survival of the orphaned chimpanzees on the Island, conservation of wild chimpanzees in forests within the Albertine Rift, and support to livelihoods of communities on the other islands surrounding the Sanctuary. This is realized through the various onsite and field programmes/activities initiated by the Sanctuary (www.ngambaisland.org).
Wild Discoveries Safaris is greatly honoured for this recognition and looks forward to continued harmonious partnership with Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, as we strive to contribute to conservation of biodiversity and enhancement of local communities’ livelihoods through responsible and eco-tourism.
